Issue #1119 – The UK’s BBC aired a news item this lunchtime, as a follow-up to yesterday’s speech by UK Leader of the Opposition, Ed Miliband, not only echoing some of the principles written in the previous TCPglobal article, "What is a corporation’s most valuable resource? Wall Street has got it wrong.", but actually playing a clip from an interview with the current boss of the UK’s Autonomy Corporation and making specific reference to ‘American company Hewlett-Packard’.

Issue #1118 – Money certainly is not the answer to the question, “What is a corporation’s most valuable resource?”. But Wall Street just doesn’t seem to be capable of recognising that fact and corporations repeatedly get themselves into serious trouble as a result – just like Hewlett-Packard.

Issue #1116 – Considering that the banner headline for Hewlett-Packard’s spring 2011 analysts’ conference in San Francisco was “Everybody On – seamless, secure, context-aware experiences for a connected world”, it seems to be totally incongruous for Léo Apotheker to be announcing the possibility of spinning the PSG division (Personal Systems Group) off. Without PSG, a Hewlett-Packard with this vision is impossible.

Epson embroiled in ink related Class Action again – this time in California

Issue #1115 – Litigators in North America are again having a go at extracting money from Epson on the grounds of alleged ‘wasted’ ink. Supposedly depriving the user of fully benefiting from their purchase, these are bizarre cases. It is my personal opinion that Epson is being unfairly victimised, probably for someone’s personal gain. Testing shows that it is not OEMs ink cartridges that are the worst offenders anyway – some third party brands are far, far worse.
