About CharisCo Printer Labs

CharisCo Printer Labs (CharisCo Ltd.) was established in 1998 as an independent research house, consultancy and test lab with the remit primarily to test laser and ink jet printers, copiers and multi-function devices – both mono and colour – specifically to satisfy the global demand for independent data on performance, reliability, durability and Total Cost of Printing (TCP) for ‘print engines’.

As well as publishing TCPglobal and testing printers and MFPs, CharisCo Printer Labs also periodically undertakes a variety of ad hoc research projects on behalf of the industry and sales channel.

Peter Maude (Director)
Peter Maude (Director) has been involved in the computer industry since 1987 when he joined an Apple dealership in a sales role. Gaining experience of computer hardware and printers, together with the photographic, design and print environments (also for five years previously), both an Apple oriented distributor and a high tech public relations agency provided opportunities to increase knowledge and understanding of printers and printer related issues. Functioning as an independent consultant for four years and heading up the printer research team at a leading industry analyst firm added to the experience, during and since which time Peter has seen a range of market studies and industry reports published and is periodically quoted in the IT press.
